Background / Education

Amy Bass is a Manchester-born architectural designer, illustrator and content creator based between New York and London. She is a Fulbright Scholar pursuing a Master of Architecture at Parsons School of Design, The New School, in New York City. She previously worked at the world-renowned architecture practice Foster + Partners and graduated with First-Class Honours in Architecture (BSc) from The Bartlett School of Architecture, UCL, in 2023.

Alongside her architectural practice, Amy has established herself as an illustrator whose work has been featured by leading architecture publications, including The Architect's Newspaper in the United States. She was also longlisted for the World Illustration Awards and has created bespoke commissioned illustrations for private and high-profile clients.

Her architectural interests are closely intertwined with her passion for travel and cultural exploration, with a particular focus on housing, urbanism and the stories embedded within cities across different global contexts. Through engaging content that blends architecture, travel, humour and storytelling, Amy has built a large online audience, inspiring thousands of people to see the built environment in new ways.

Using a combination of hand-drawn biro illustrations, digital drawing and photography, Amy captures the intimacy, memories and social complexity of everyday life and its relationship to architecture. Her bespoke illustrations transform personal stories into intricate architectural artworks, creating lasting heirlooms for clients around the world.
